Frequently Asked Questions
Questions To Ask Your Chiropractor
Most patients typically feel a little nervous seeing a chiropractor for the first time. That’s completely normal! Our staff is here to put you at ease and answer any questions you have about chiropractic care. We always welcome questions from our patients and do our best to provide the information you need.
Below you’ll find some of the most common questions we receive from our patients. If you don’t see the answer to your question on this list, just give us a call and we’ll be happy to help!
What types of patient conditions do you manage?
Chiropractic care can help alleviate symptoms of a variety of health conditions, some of the most common we see in our patients are:
- Fertility Issues
- Sleep Disorders
- Numbness/Tingling
- Sciatica Pain
- Back Pain
- Extremity/Joint Pain
- Hypothyroidism
Do you take x-rays?
We do take x-rays in our office during your first appointment. Being able to see exactly what is going on with your spine, pelvis, and extremities is essential to effective chiropractic care.
What type of chiropractors are you?
Our chiropractors are all extensively trained and certified in the Gonstead Method, which is an innovative approach that is safe for infants, children, and adults.
Do you have male and female doctors?
Yes, our practice employs both male and female doctors. If you prefer to see a specific doctor, please let our staff know when you call to schedule your appointment.
Do you have flexible appointment times?
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to schedule an appointment and regularly offer early morning and evening appointments to our patients. We understand not everyone can leave work or school during regular business hours and don’t want that to be a barrier to you seeking out chiropractic care.
Can you adjust infants and children?
Yes, our chiropractors regularly adjust infants and children of all ages. Many of our pediatric patients start seeing us as newborns for help with colic, reflux, latching issues, and more.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept Medicare, personal injury insurance, and HSA plans. We also work with CareCredit to ensure our patients have a variety of options to pay for the chiropractic care they need. If you need help navigating the medical insurance process when it comes to your chiropractic care, please give us a call and our staff can assist you.
Does your office provide second opinions?
We do. If you’ve received a diagnosis and treatment plan from your primary care doctor, specialist, or surgeon, we’re happy to provide a second opinion to see if chiropractic care could be effective for you.
Can I bring in my own x-rays or imaging?
You are welcome to bring in any recent imaging you’ve received to your first appointment with us. However, depending on how old the images are or what type they are, we may still need to take additional x-rays.
Do you adjust athletes?
We regularly adjust athletes of all ages! Most of our athletes regularly benefit from our extremities management services. Their wellness plans tend to focus on shoulder, foot, hip, and ankle issues.
Receiving regular chiropractic care can help athletes avoid costly and invasive surgical procedures. Grace College athletes are regular patients of ours, along with high school students, dancers, and gymnasts.
Do you accept walk-in appointments?
Although we encourage patients to schedule in advance, same-day appointments are occasionally available.
What other services do you provide?
While chiropractic care is the #1 service we provide, we also have a focus on full-body wellness. Our office also offers massage therapy, weight management, functional nutrition, corporate wellness, and free community seminars.
Can you see me if I’ve already had surgery?
Yes! Because our doctors practice the Gonstead Method, it is safe for patients who have had surgery to be adjusted by our staff. Even if you’ve been told not to see a chiropractor due to a surgical fusion, our doctors can help.
What geographic areas do you serve?
While we’re located in downtown Warsaw, Indiana, we regularly see patients from across Kosciusko, Fulton, Whitley, Marshall, Allen, and Wabash counties. We also have several patients visit us from out-of-state when they can’t find an effective chiropractic solution in their area.
Do you provide post-surgical care?
The chiropractic care we provide is safe for most post-surgical cases, which is great news for our patients who have received spinal surgeries. If you aren’t the best candidate for safe chiropractic care post-surgery, our doctors will discuss this with you during your consultation.
